USA and Canada Cricket Rivalry:
United States of America and Canada are arch rivals when it comes to game of cricket. Auty Cup rivalry started in 1844 where both countries played against each other in New York (3 days game), USA lost to Canada by 23 runs. Canada retained the trophy in 2013 where they played a one day game and a Twenty20 game . Both teams played last against each other in 2015 in a single Twenty20 match which Canada won by 23 runs.
Both boards decided to play a series in 2014-2015 but due to financial difficulties they couldn't go ahead with their plans. Canada and USA both cricket teams do not have enough international exposure, they are way behind countries like Netherlands, Ireland and Afghanistan. Playing more cricket would help both countries to gain some experience and be able to challenge other associate teams.

ICC WCL division 4 is scheduled to be played at Woodly Park this year (2016) and there are some rumors that an agreement have been made between USA and Canada cricket board to organize Auty Cup just before division 4. Which will renew rivalry between USA and Canada and also help them with their preparation. USA had 3 wins in 3 losses in ICC World T20 qualifier last year and marginally missed out on selection, while Canada performance was below par and they didn't win a single game.
