Supreme Court of Pakistan has restored Najam Sethi as Pakistan Cricket Board chairman. Sethi was recently removed by Islamabad High Court & IHC appointed former chief Zaka Ashraf as PCB chairman but SC has removed Zaka Ashraf & bought back Najam Sethi. SC signed a petition in support of the Ministry to appeal against the Islamabad High Court judgement. The appellant said, “The (IHC) judgment has struck a fatal blow to PCB and cricket, which will cost PCB heavily in terms of financial loss and credibility in international cricket”. The petitioner also stated that the chairman Zaka Ashraf started grudges against specialists allied with the PCB. PCB cannot be allowed for personal freedom of Board of Governors & its chief. SC gave back the role of PCB chairman in hands of Najam Sethi.

After removal of Sethi by IHC, Najam claimed that he had recently discussions with a foreign country in final stages to host a foreign team in Pakistan. Now we will have a chance to see whether he has really made any discussions with a foreign country or not.
