Indian former pace man Javagal Srinath has backed Zaheer Khan's inclusion in ICC World Cup 2015 and considered him as an automatic choice for mega tournament. Zaheer Khan is the most experience fast bowler in Indian side at the moment and has got good success rate on overseas pitches. Srinath said, "Zaheer is a top class bowler. If he has the desire, resolve and the strength to deliver, he is an automatic choice. One needs to dig deep and see whether Zaheer has that kind of passion to continue and if wants 2015 as a parting shot then he should be allowed to do that".

Srinath called T20 format of cricket as batsman dominated game. And said its necessary for a bowler to be as dominant as batsman in all format of cricket. Disappointment is clearly visible on faces of pace bowlers in Twenty20, as they get hammered by batsman right from the first ball.
