Ricky Ponting has been awarded life membership of Marylebone Cricket Club as an appreciation for his services to Cricket Australia. Punter has scored over 26000 runs in all format of cricket, he averages 51.85 in 168 test matches and hit 41 test centuries. He has played in 375 ODI and was part of team while Australia won World Cup last 3 times. Ponting said, "Its fantastic to be given honorary life membership of MCC . I have devoted my life playing cricket and its great to be recognized by a club as proud as MCC.
