No one can give a satisfactory answer about why Shoaib Malik is in Pakistani side. Most of his runs in T20 domestic cricket came against weaker teams with an over all strike rate of 102. His recent performance in Australian hosted tournament KFC Big Bash was poor with bat and ball.
Against India in opening T20 match, Shoaib Malik scored most of his runs through boundaries and his innings was full of dot balls. Being an experience player he should be rotating strike rather than staying at crease and waiting for loose balls to hit. More pressure should be put on experience players like him, Mohammad Hafeez and Kamran Akmal rather than youngster like Ahmad Shehzad and Umar Akmal.
